About Paul Engelien

Based in Henderson, Nevada, Paul Engelien joined Cirrus Aviation in Las Vegas as a check airman in 2018. In this position, he engages in charter operations throughout North America using aircrafts such as the Beechcraft Premier 1A and the Hawker 900XP private jet. He is also the captain of a Gulfstream 500 and has flown various high-profile clients around the world in a Dassault Falcon 2000. His responsibilities with Cirrus Aviation range from training new pilots to performing checkrides. Above all else, Paul Engelien’s priority is to ensure the safety of both his passengers and aircraft. Prior to relocating to Henderson, Nevada, Mr. Engelien spent nearly 24 years as an aircraft commander with the United States Air Force, based out of Tacoma, Washington. He primarily piloted a C17 Globemaster on cargo and passenger missions, including flights through Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as remote destinations in Antarctica. The Las Vegas pilot has additional experience as a personal pilot with the Atlanta Hawks professional basketball team. He is a member of the United States Soaring Association.
